Who hasn't added a bit of powder to their morning milk? Put that way, sure, it sounds a bit weird—but who among us wasn't comforted by that gentle wake-up call: a glass of warm milk with two or three spoonfuls of that famous Nestlé powder? Our goal here was to craft a robust, warming, and comforting imperial stout. Conditioned with Madagascar vanilla and cacao nibs, we also indulged in a touch of whimsy by adding an astronomical amount of vanilla soft-serve ice cream and strawberry purée. All of this gives it a pale hue reminiscent of the good old chocolate milk Mom used to make. On the nose, you get vanilla and a subtle hint of strawberry, while the alcohol presence on the palate is almost reminiscent of Irish cream. A beer for those who dream of returning to childhood.
