§ 01 · Account & login
The one-time code never arrived. Now what?

Check your spam folder. If still nothing after 5 minutes, request a new code from the login screen — only the latest code is valid.

If your inbox blocks it wholesale, try a different email address.

I bought a new iPhone. Will my check-ins follow?

Yes. Sign in on the new device with the same email, request a one-time code, and your full cellar — check-ins, photos, rooms, level — restores from the server.

How do I delete my account?

Open Sipstr → Settings → Delete account. Removed from the live database within 24 hours; backups roll off on a 30-day cycle. Deletion is permanent — there is no undo.

§ 02 · Check-ins & XP
The label scan picked the wrong beer. How do I fix it?

Open the check-in and search again. If the right beer isn't in the catalogue yet, add it manually — it's saved with the basics you provide and the catalogue fills in the rest from our enrichment sources within a few hours.

Why didn't my check-in earn XP?

Most likely you've hit the daily check-in cap (20 per day). The other case is a network drop mid-save — pull to refresh on the cellar; if the check-in shows up there, the XP follows.

A beer or brewery is wrong. Can I fix it?

Once you reach the unlock level for catalog corrections, you can submit fixes directly from any beer page.

§ 03 · Tap Rooms
How do Tap Rooms work?

A Tap Room is a small group chat tied to a brewery, a style, or a custom theme. Anyone can join an open room. Creating your own Tap Room unlocks at level 4 — free Sipstrs can create 1 room, Pro unlocks unlimited rooms.

Can I leave a room and rejoin later?

Yes. You can leave and rejoin an open room. If a room owner removes you from their room, you can't rejoin until they let you back in.

§ 04 · Sipstr Pro
How do I get Pro?

During the closed beta, every TestFlight tester gets Pro automatically — there is nothing to buy. After public launch, Pro will be a one-time purchase via Apple In-App Purchase.

Pro is one-time. Forever?

Forever. We'd rather charge once and ship features we like than ship a subscription treadmill. Pro restores on every device signed into the same Apple ID.

I want a refund.

Apple handles all App Store refunds; the link is reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue them on Apple's behalf.

§ 05 · Data & privacy
If I delete my account, when is it actually gone?

Hard-deleted from the live database within 24 hours. Backups roll off on a 30-day cycle.

Do you sell my data?

No. There's no data-broker pipeline, no advertising SDK, no third-party analytics that profile users. Full breakdown on the Privacy page.

Can I export my data?

Self-serve export is on the roadmap, not shipped yet. In the meantime, email hello [at] sipstr.app and we will respond within 30 days.
