The agreement
These Partner Terms cover the Sipstr brewery portal. They sit on top of the ordinary Sipstr Terms of service, which still apply to the account you sign in with. Where the two disagree about the portal, these win.
"Sipstr" means the Sipstr service, operated from Sweden by its sole developer. "You" means the person accepting these terms, acting for the brewery named in the claim. "Portal" means the brewery-facing pages at sipstr.app/partner and anything we ship there.
By submitting a claim you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not submit a claim.
Who can claim a brewery
- Authority. You must be authorised by the brewery to act for it. If you are not, do not claim it.
- Review. Every claim is read by a person. We may ask for evidence connecting you to the brewery.
- Our discretion. We can decline a claim, and we can revoke access later. A declined claim can be submitted again with more detail.
- Free. Claiming and managing a brewery costs nothing. There is no paid tier today. If we add one it will be optional, and priced before you are asked to buy anything.
What you can change
Once a claim is approved you can edit the brewery profile and the beers attributed to that brewery.
- Edits are live. There is no review step. What you save is what every Sipstr user sees, immediately.
- The catalogue is shared. Beer records belong to every drinker who has logged that beer, so changing a name or an ABV changes what their own history shows them.
- Accuracy is yours. Everything you enter must be true of the brewery and the beer.
- Stay in your lane. Do not edit breweries or beers that are not yours. Do not use description fields to advertise unrelated products or to link out to shops.
- We can revert. We may correct, revert or remove anything you save, and we will tell you why if you ask.
Logos, labels and copy you upload
You keep ownership of every logo, label image and piece of copy you upload. Nothing here transfers copyright to us.
You grant Sipstr a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, display and resize that content for the purpose of running the Service: showing it on the brewery page, on beer pages, in search results, and in a drinker's own check-in history.
You confirm you hold the rights to everything you upload. If you upload artwork you do not own, that is on you.
The licence ends when you remove the content, except where it is already part of a check-in a drinker has saved. We keep those copies so their history does not break.
What the portal shows you about drinkers
The portal shows you check-in counts, average ratings, a count of unique drinkers, and a short feed of recent check-ins with display names.
- Look, do not harvest. Do not export, scrape or automate against that data, and do not build a mailing list from it.
- Do not contact drinkers. Not through Sipstr, and not by matching a display name to someone elsewhere.
- Do not use it for advertising, targeting or resale.
- We stay responsible for that data. You see it so you can manage your listing, and for nothing else. If you want a copy of something, ask us.
Alcohol marketing is your responsibility
Marketing alcohol is regulated, and in Sweden it is regulated tightly. Everything you publish through the portal is your content, and keeping it lawful in every market where Sipstr is available is your responsibility.
We are not your compliance check, and we do not review your copy before it goes live. We will remove anything we think creates a risk, without warning. That removal is not a finding that the content was unlawful, and leaving something up is not a finding that it was fine.
The portal is free, and offered as-is
The portal is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, and we do not promise any particular feature will still be there next month. We may change it or withdraw it.
We do promise to fix things in good faith, and to tell you if something we broke affected your listing.
Ending it
You. Email hello@sipstr.app and we will remove your access.
Us. We can suspend or remove access at any time, with notice where that is reasonable and immediately where it is not.
Either way, the brewery stays. Sipstr's brewery and beer records are ours, built from public sources and from drinkers' own check-ins, and they existed before the claim. Ending a claim removes your ability to edit them. It does not delete the listing, the beers, or the check-ins drinkers have already made.
What we are on the hook for
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and because the portal is free of charge: Sipstr's total liability to you or to the brewery for any claim arising out of the portal is limited to 1,000 SEK. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or incidental loss, including lost sales or reputational harm.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Swedish law, including gross negligence and intentional harm.
This is an agreement between businesses. Consumer protection rules do not apply to it.
Changes to these terms
We will email the address on the claim at least 14 days before a material change takes effect. Trivial wording fixes do not need a notice.
If you do not accept a change, email us and we will close the claim. Nothing you have already published is affected by closing it, beyond your losing the ability to edit it.
