Evangeline, our beloved gose, makes its first appearance in cans–and it has arrived right in time for these long, warm days. Inspired by the traditional style originating in Goslar, Germany, this beauty is built on a base of California-grown Pils malt and wheat, and fermented warm with lactobacillus, creating a light tartness. In continuation of tradition, this ale is brewed with pink Himalayan sea salt and organic Indian coriander; we also added locally-sourced organic grapefruit for a bright twist. Evangeline comes out of the tanks ready to refresh the senses on a hot summer's day, with essences of lemon sorbet, iced herbal tea, and a saltiness reminiscent of the cool ocean breeze.
