Berry, apricot with the classic clove and banana that you'd come to expect with a Hefeweizen. Bruce Lee relocated to Oakland in 1964 to collaborate with James Lee, a fierce, no-nonsense street fighter who was teaching out of his Monticello Ave home in the Maxwell Park neighborhood. Together, they developed “scientific street fighting,” an approach focused on the spontaneous, unpredictable realities of a street fight, which flew in the face of the systematic routines and set patterns taught by traditional martial arts schools. This collaboration had a profound influence on the future of martial arts in America and remains one of Oakland’s most impactful legacies.
