Italian style Pilsner is a relatively new style of beer that has emerged in the past couple decades. Dry and drinkable typical of a German Pilsner, but with a light dry hop character and often unfiltered. This Italian Pilsner uses 100% imported German malt and hops, but the Saphir hops added into the fermenter near the completion of fermentation give this beer a decidedly un-German citrusy lemongrass quality.
