Masala Dreams Chai Porter

In case you weren’t aware by now, the folks at Irrational thoroughly enjoy getting funky in the brewery. This release is a prime example of that and is a wonderful representation of layering different flavours. To get the chai essence in this concoction they steeped their own blend of green cardamom, cinnamon, black peppercorn, ginger, and clove in the wort after the boil was over. The masala mixture with a complex (at least in their mind) malt combo brings together the best of both worlds in spice and beer. Full bodied yet easy to go down with a restrained alcohol level, this one has complementary notes of chai masala, toffee, and chocolate. IBU: 39 Crafted in Edmonton AB
