inspired by Flanders Reds of old, Blood Magick is a blended sour red ale combining 70% provision strength ‘young’ stock beer aged 4 months, with around 30% ‘mature’ stock beer aged in well used whisky casks for an average of one year. The combination of old and young beers has produced a complex sweet and sour flavor profile with a subtle oak character. This blend was transferred onto 200g/l of 2024 harvest blackberries in addition to 200g/l spent chuckle berries and lees from a previous batch of Altar of Plagues.
