Bottle notes: This extraordinary ale is brewed by the Trappist Monks of the St. Benedictus Abbey at Achel, Belgium. Of the six operating Belgian Monastery Breweries, Achel is the most recent to take up the craft and is one of only two in which the monks actually work in the brewery. The Achel brews, which were the highest-scoring Trappists at the 2004 World Beer Championships include the superb Blonde and Brown, and the weighty, undeniable Extra.
