This one's a little wild... they've been playing around with some experimental yeast strains, and while it might not be everyone's vibe, that's the beauty of trying new things. Cool stuff happens when you experiment. For this beer, they teamed up with Escarpment Labs - a Canadian yeast lab known for their innovative, high-quality strains that fuel creativity for brewers all around the world. At first, they attempted a cross between two strains, but things got weird during propagation. So instead, Changing Colours pivoted to a classic approach: an unusual blend of yeast strains, where both strains co-ferment and bring their character to the party. They brewed this one especially for Farmhouse Fest. Yeah, saisons aren't usually their thing, but they wanted to bring something wild and hoppy to the table. Enter: a blend of Ebbergarden (kveik) + Foggy London (English-style). The result? Something completely different from what you'd expect from them. To amp it up, they dry-hopped with Loral Cryo and Idaho Gem. To deliver a mix of floral, herbal, and citrus notes with a touch of bright cherry, red fruit, and a bit of candy sweetness. The base keeps things light and clean, a mix of wheat, oats and rice flakes, letting the yeast and hops shine. Crafted in Vancouver, BC
