Firefighters have been collaborating with Muscular Dystrophy Canada since 1954. Firefighters rely heavily on muscle strength and physical ability in their jobs. Because muscular dystrophy weakens the very muscles firefighters depend on, the cause hits home to them. Supporting those who lose that strength is a natural fit for people whose lives revolve around using it to save others.
