The base of this was a big boozy Belgian ale that they brew once a year. If you remember, it had raisins caramelized in brown sugar, Tawny Port and ginger. 7 different malts from 6 different malthouses around the world. All the good stuff, nothing spared. Super indulgent, but it's kind of like what Julia Child said about birthdays - if there's no cake, it's just a meeting. So yeah, they brew something big and decadent on their anniversary. And then they put it in beautiful red wine barrels. Because it's fun, delicious, and it makes specialness, special - that's why. Crafted in Lacombe, AB
