With our new LICHTENHAINER WEISSE (10.9°P), we want to revive the almost extinct sour beer tradition of Jena. We followed the definition of this old Thuringian beer style and have brewed a tangy, top-fermented beer with a slightly sour yet smoky taste and a light yellow color. The result is a light, easy-drinking beer with a velvety-soft acidity and a subtle smoky character. It is reminiscent of a beautiful summer evening around the bonfire.
